People like to say things like:

“If I could turn back time I would do this….”
“If I could turn back time I would do that…”
“If I could turn back time I would rather do this than do that…”
“If I could turn back time I won’t choose this…”
and so on and so forth.

There are many reasons, however for them to saying those lines. Reasons such as “It would be much more better” or “Things won’t be as bad as now…”. Basically, Hope for a better life and Regret.

Whatever the reasons are, for me, I don’t think I would wish to turn back time and change things. Not that I don’t have any regret or not that I had never do any mistake, it’s just that in my opinion, there are things we know as consequences. It’s true that by choosing A instead of B, our life path might have been better. However sometimes we overlook the consequences of choice A in that it might have events that we might not like.

For example, if after I finished my high school I chose to go to stay in Indonesia rather than Singapore, my lifestyle would be different, I might be able to stay close with my old friends, my families, I might be able to drive better than I do now, etc. However, I might have never know those wonderful new friends in Singapore, I might not have the experience of studying abroad, I might have never fall in love with a person from other nationality, my spiritual life might not be as mature as I am now.

I always think it this way. In a parallel universe, there’s another Re (author) who chose A instead of B (the one I chose) living in the world which results as the choice he made. And that person might be saying “I wish I had chose B instead of A”.

Made me feels like going and visit all of those parallel universe, visiting all those countless worlds which resulted from all those countless choices that I ever had, wondering how I would be doing on those world. BUT still, I will stick to my believe that all the things that happened into my life, none are accident, and it’s the best that could happen to me. And thus, life live to the fullest, learn from the past, live the present and look forward to the future =)
